The highly profitable capital field, to which entrepreneurs turn for financing of their new firms, is really an industry that does not recognize itself as such. Many of its practices might change if this field were viewed as an industry. These modifications, in turn, could create a significant growth in its size. Among the changes suggested are tapping new sources of capital, changing the industry's image from "buyer" to "seller," and revision of its distribution channels.
